Finalist in photocontest "Fill the Frame" at ViewB Finalist in photocontest "Fill the Frame" at ViewBug (chances are 0,20%)! Great news in my mailbox again from ViewBug! After a photo of Merlin received this week the "Picture Perfect Award", now the honor of being selected as a finalist with a photo of Rona. This photo of Rona was submitted to the "Fill the Frame" photo contest organized by the Viewbug website. A total of 17,803 photos competed in this competition and in the public vote the photo already ended up at a fantastic 2nd place in the ranking. It means Rona's photo was among the 0.01% of photos most voted for by the public. After the public votes, the organizing party looks at the submitted photos and it turns out that Rona's photo is among the 34 finalists of this competition! Can you imagine that from that huge number of submitted photos only 34 are selected and that your photo is one of those? As it is stated on the website of Viewbug: "Our staff, guest and resident judges look at the entries of the contests as well as all the photos uploaded to the community to choose their favorite photos and award them. At ViewBug, you can win contests as well as receive awards on your photos. It is a great honor to be chosen as your photo is chosen among many others and it is selected based on creativity, originality, composition and overall quality." When life gives you cotton candy, wear pink and sp When life gives you cotton candy, wear pink and sprinkle joy everywhere!🍭 You can almost smell and taste the sweetness in the air and see the joy in Anoeks expression. Anoek wears a pink jacket and is standing against a wonderful backdrop of fluffy pink feathers that creates a dreamy atmosphere, which mirrors the cotton candy hues. People find a photo appealing to the eye when there are contrasts in color and/or lighting, which makes the subject/model stand out. In the photographers world shooting the model with an outfit in the same color as the background (like white-on-white or black-on-black) is something that is often used in fashion photography and is seen as one of the tricky ways of taking pictures. Because it brings up this problem: the model is likely to coincide with the background like a chameleon. The dimensions and depth can be lost, resulting in a very flat photo. In other words: how can you create enough contrast for the model to stand out from the background? The simple answer is: lighting!
