Gisteren stuurde ik een e-mail naar de curator van de Tilde Gallery in Palermo met betrekking tot de publicatie van het fotoboek “Imago 4“, met daarin foto’s van Merlin.
De digitale versie van het fotoboek staat al online, maar ik zou heel graag ook willen weten wanneer de papieren versie te verwachten is.
Imago 4 is een publicatie in eigen beheer van Tilde Gallery die gevestigd is in de Italiaanse stad Palermo.
Het antwoord dat ik ontving van de curator:
Dit is een heel mooie mail met een hoop informatie met wat er nog staat te gebeuren bij de galerie.
Als antwoord heb ik de volgende e-mail gestuurd:
“Dear ***,
Thank you so much for your extensive reply; it’s truly appreciated!
Yes, I did check my spam, but unfortunately I didn’t receive the email.
But, I’m glad you send me a reminder.
It’s looking great what you’re going to do the next couple of months.
I’ve discussed the opportunity of taking part in the art calender with the parents of my models, but we will let this pass for this year. Maybe next year.
A very nice idea about the Obscura (from the Camera Obscura I presume) and I will look into what you’ve sent me in the attachements.
Thank you so much for sending me all the info about the upcoming publications and events. I will study them all and will come back to you when something is an opportunity for me and (one of) my models.

Echter: het antwoord op de vraag wanneer Imago 4 bij mij wordt afgeleverd, zie ik niet in de e-mail staan.
Datzelfde had de curator ook in de gaten en ik kreeg nog een klein vervolg e-mailtje:
“I forgot: of course, copies will be available by December.
Waarop ik weer geantwoord heb:
“No problem. It’s always nice to receive an email from you.
So in a couple of weeks and the publication will see the light (pun intended).

Kort door de bocht komt het hier op neer dat de digitale versie al te bekijken is en dat de gedrukte versie in december worden afgeleverd en dat is al binnen een paar weken en precies op tijd voor kerst waar ik een exemplaar aan Merlin en haar moeder kan overhandigen.
De digitale versie is tot die tijd hier te bekijken:
De bladzijden waarop de foto’s van Merlin te zien zijn, staan vanaf bladzijde 62 tot en met 65.
