Via de e-mail werd ik benaderd door de Tilde Gallery in Palermo met de vraag of ik foto’s wil laten publiceren in het kunst fotoboek “Imago 4” die de galerie in eigen beheer wil uitgeven.
Of het wat is?
Imago 4 is een publicatie in eigen beheer van Tilde Gallery die gevestigd is in de Italiaanse stad Palermo.
De e-mail die ik ontving:

We are the Tilde Gallery in Palermo, we saw your works on your website, congratulations indeed. We are pleased to announce the open call for Imago 4: Contemporary Photographic Stories, the fourth volume in our editorial series exploring photography as a living, evolving language.
This new edition is dedicated to Eugène Atget, a visionary figure whose photographic work captured the soul of early 20th-century Paris.
Imago 4 invites submissions exploring the city, memory, and the urban landscape through photography, but is open to any photographic theme or approach.

Imago 4 will be published on October 30, 2025.
The deadline to submit your application is September 20, 2025, but we recommend applying as soon as possible to secure your place.

Bij de e-mail is ook nog een PDF gevoegd waarin meer informatie staat over deze publicatie.
Wat het anders dan bij andere publicaties in kunstboeken maakt, is dat dit puur een uitgave is van foto’s en niet bijvoorbeeld in combinatie met schilderkunst of beeldhouwkunst.
En dát maakt het sowieso wel heel erg interessant.
Eerst maar eens kijken of deze galerie bonafide is.
Wordt dus vervolgd.
